Founded in Grasse in 1926, Fragonard is a story\u00a0<\/span>of family<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0, perfumers, and collectors, passed down through four generations. It’s a story where heritage is our foundation, and our collections and travels\u2014our inspirations and pursuit of excellence\u2014are our compass.<\/span><\/div>\n

THE LOVE OF PERFUME<\/span><\/b>
\nby Anne, Agn\u00e8s and Fran\u00e7oise Costa<\/span><\/strong>In 1926, our house was a small,\u00a0<\/span>artisanal perfumery<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0where locally sourced flowers and plants were distilled to create fragrance concentrates, essential oils, and other floral absolutes. Over time, our perfumery has evolved under the guidance of its leaders. Three generations before us have successfully developed our house. From a simple manufactory, Fragonard has grown over nine decades into a complete universe that today\u00a0<\/span>encompasses three factories, six museums, and over twenty-four boutiques.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

“Cosmopolitan, creative, and ambitious” is the motto we inherited and continue to uphold. Even as our company has grown, we have made it a point to do so at our own pace, preserving the values \u200b\u200bthat our father, Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Costa, instilled in us:\u00a0<\/span>good work, respect for our employees, and the joy of sharing.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

For over 90 years, we have shared our expertise, our craft as perfumers, and our beautiful region of Provence and our city of Grasse, whose lush nature and centuries-old arts and traditions have shaped our identity, from generation to generation. These decades have passed quickly, and what remains is\u00a0<\/span>a wealth of fragrance creations, passions, and art collections<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0that tirelessly inspire us for the present and the future. Perfumes are the epitome of transience, while our craft has always stood for quality, originality, and permanence.<\/span><\/p>\n
