Since our\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nyserda.ny.gov\/About\/History-of-NYSERDA\">founding in 1975<\/a>, NYSERDA\u2019s mission, vision, and programs are continually evolving to improve the lives of New Yorkers. Collectively, these efforts are key to developing a cleaner, more reliable, and affordable energy system for all New Yorkers.<\/p>\n<p>Governed by a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nyserda.ny.gov\/About\/Board-Governance\">13-member Board<\/a>, NYSERDA is a trusted source for objective information and analysis, technical expertise, and support on energy in New York State. While our programs operate statewide, our offices are located in Albany, Buffalo, New York City, and West Valley.<\/p>\n<p>NYSERDA is on the front lines of the global energy transition and combating climate change. Our\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nyserda.ny.gov\/About\/Executive-Staff\">executive leadership<\/a>\u00a0and staff play a crucial role in implementing the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (<a title=\"External link to Climate Act website\" href=\"https:\/\/climate.ny.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Climate Act\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nyserda.ny.gov\/-\/media\/Project\/Common\/General\/Rest\/new-window.gif\" alt=\"Link opens in new window - close new window to return to this page.\" width=\"15\" height=\"15\" \/><\/a>) and Climate Action Council Scoping Plan, which are focused on accelerating climate action and efforts to secure a just and equitable transition to a clean energy economy.
