The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is North America’s largest transportation network, serving a population of 15.3 million people across a 5,000-square-mile travel area\u00a0surrounding New York City, Long Island, southeastern New York State, and Connecticut. Agencies and departments<\/h3>\n

The MTA’s operating agencies are New York City Transit, Long Island Rail Road, Metro-North Railroad, and Bridges and Tunnels. Construction & Development supports these agencies\u00a0by identifying, developing, and building the capital infrastructure projects needed to renew and enhance the MTA\u2019s extensive assets.<\/p>\n
