The New Museum believes that contemporary art is a vital social force that advances questioning, learning, and working towards a better society.
What We Do
Since 1977, we have served as a catalyst for dialogue between contemporary art and the public. We are a non-collecting institution, presenting benchmark exhibitions and collaborating with artists to support new productions, experimentation, and new forms of artmaking. We share our work through programs and publications with a focus on critical issues shaping the present.
