The New York State Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA) was originally created by the State of New York to manage the facilities used during the 1980 Olympic Winter Games at Lake Placid. Today, ORDA operates multiple venues including the Olympic Center, Olympic Jumping Complex, Mt. Van Hoevenberg, Whiteface Mountain, Gore Mountain & Belleayre Mountain. ORDA is currently preparing to host the Lake Placid 2023 Winter World University Games. The University Games will be played over 11 days, will offer 12 sports to compete in and will host over 600 universities across the world.
