International Center of Photography
The International Center of Photography is the world’s leading institution dedicated to photography and visual culture. Cornell Capa founded ICP in 1974 to champion “concerned photography”—socially and politically minded images that can educate and change the world. Through our exhibitions, education programs, community outreach, and public programs, ICP offers an open forum for dialogue about the power of the image.

Exhibitions
ICP’s widely acclaimed exhibitions cover the entire spectrum of the photographic medium, from early daguerreotypes, documentary images, and contemporary photography to multimedia installations that employ both traditional and digital techniques.
Education
Serving more than 3,500 adult and teen students each year, ICP’s school offers photography education for every level through classes, workshops, and certificate and master’s degree programs.
Public Programs at the Center for Visual Culture
ICPs Public Programming at the Center for Visual Culture brings together diverse communities in public engagement to dialogue about ever transforming photographic and lens-based practices and the impact of visual culture on our world.
Library
Comprised of over 20,000 books, artist files, and periodicals, ICP’s reading library provides information and inspiration to the general public.
Collection
ICP’s collection, including an extensive online database, functions as an active research and exhibiting archive enjoyed by a broad audience of scholars, artists, and photo enthusiasts worldwide.
Infinity Awards
Since 1985, this annual event has recognized major contributions and emerging talent in the fields of photojournalism, art, fashion photography, and publishing.
