Welcome to Blue School!
We are happy that you are exploring the pages of our website.
I am honored to begin my journey at Blue School this school year. I cannot think of a more exciting school, with bigger aspirations, bigger potential, or a bigger heart. I look forward to adding to the legacy that Blue School has built over the past fourteen years, and to helping establish its place among the most innovative, extraordinary, sought-after schools in the city.
Since its inception in 2006, Blue School has been reimagining education for the changing world we live in. Now more than ever, we understand how quickly our world can shift, and the value of a curriculum that teaches students to be resilient and adaptable.
Teaching and learning at Blue School is rooted in our balance model, which concurrently holds academic mastery, self and social intelligence, and creative thinking as three components of indispensable value. Our model is inquiry-based - at every level students are encouraged to ask questions, approach ideas from new angles, and find ways to reflect on and express what they have learned. Another core tenet of Blue School’s approach is joy. We believe that joy increases the possibility for learning and creativity and that it can profoundly deepen educational experiences.
The Blue School program is intentionally designed to span pre k - 8th grade. This creates a nurturing environment, where students are known for who they are, and able to develop at their own pace. By the time students reach 8th grade, they truly know themselves as learners and are well poised to make an informed choice about the next step of their education. Blue School graduates leave here with well-stocked academic toolkits, enduring self knowledge, and ambitious vision and go on to thrive at the city’s top high schools.
We would love to get to know you and your family better. I encourage you to connect with our admissions team and register for an upcoming event to learn more about what a Blue School education could mean for your family.
Warmly,
Noah Reinhardt
